Cambridge is small and quiet, but the depth it holds is beyond imagination. The entire city felt like a serene bookshelf, and walking through it made me feel like a character in an old story. It’s a place where an unreal sense of tranquility lasts all day. The first stop was King's College, which stood majestically like a castle. The light streaming through the stained glass bathed the entire space in a dreamlike glow. Sitting quietly inside the chapel, I felt my mind calm down, as if the world was moving at an incredibly slow pace. Punting was the best way to truly experience Cambridge. Floating on the quiet river, the university buildings seemed frozen in time, as if from the Middle Ages. The gentle breeze and rippling water heightened the emotional experience. As we passed under bridges, the guide shared fascinating stories about history and mathematics, perfectly complementing the scenery. Throughout the city, there were tranquil bookstores, cozy cafes, students cycling across campus, and people reading on the grass. Every scene was intellectual and romantic—not excessive, not contrived, and all the more beautiful for it. Cambridge is a city to be felt with the heart rather than seen with the eyes. It’s a place that leaves you longing for more after just one day. When the time comes to leave again, it will surely be the first city to come to mind.
