Every year, Bronte holds a two-week pistachio carnival to celebrate the local "green gold" - Bronte pistachios. During the event, the whole town is filled with a festive atmosphere, and the streets are filled with a variety of pistachio products, including pistachio ice cream, pistachio desserts, pistachio sausages, etc. This pistachio pilgrimage is definitely one of my most passive but most memorable adventures in this Mediterranean journey. 📍 Transportation information: How to get to Bronte Bronte is a small town in eastern Sicily, located on the slopes of Mount Etna, and is famous for its high-quality pistachios. Here are the transportation options to Bronte from major cities: • From Catania: • Train: Take the Circumetnea train from Catania Borgo Station to Bronte in about 1 hour and 30 minutes.  • Bus: Take the Etna Trasporti bus from Catania Autostazione to Bronte in about 2 hours.  • From Palermo: • Bus: Take the SAIS Autolinee bus to Catania, then transfer to the Etna Trasporti bus to Bronte, the total journey takes about 6 hours.  • Drive: From Catania, drive along the SS121 road and reach Bronte in about 1 hour.
