The third floor boasts a spacious terrace with direct views of several sections of the wild Great Wall. We stayed on the second floor, and stepping through the door felt like falling into a pile of sun-soaked cotton! The floor-to-ceiling windows perfectly frame a picturesque mountain view. The balcony railing plays with light and shadow, and even the air carries the warm scent of pinewood. Our favorite was the private scenic hot spring bath in the bathroom—soaking in the warm water while gazing at the mountain peaks. The homestay also has its own restaurant, serving dishes like braised pork with chestnuts, scrambled eggs with green onions, and cornmeal porridge. Not only do these dishes showcase local farm flavors, but their quality rivals that of high-end city restaurants. There are plenty of nearby attractions to explore: · Shentangyu Boardwalk (2.6 km by car) and Shentangyu Natural Scenic Area (3.9 km by car) · Yanqi Lake West Mountain Trail (9.4 km away).
