Noodles with holes, Talad Noi🍜

“Hey!! I just went to eat at a noodle shop near Talad Noi. It’s sooo good!” After telling you about it, I want to take you there. You have to try it! This shop is over 60 years old. It’s in a small alley called Talad Noi. When you walk in, it looks a bit local, but the atmosphere is super local. It’s like visiting a Chinese friend’s house who makes really delicious noodles. And they let their neighbors come over to eat with them 😂 ⸻ 🍜 The menu I ordered (and highly recommend!) • Dry noodles with roasted pork dumplings. Hey…their noodles are really good! Not your usual dry noodles. But they’re chewy and soft. They smell great. They go great with the roasted pork. • Their roasted pork! Hey, it’s so good you’ll slap your knees! It’s soft, fragrant, a little sweet, a little salty, and has a nice old-fashioned charcoal aroma. It’s not your usual roasted pork. It’s roasted pork with love. • The fish balls/fish balls are really bouncy and not fishy at all. I don’t usually eat these unless they’re good. But I finished them! They also have a soup version. The soup is fragrant and well-rounded, clear but has a pork bone smell, simmered well, not like fresh water with added sugar and MSG. It has an old-fashioned cleanness that still has flavor. ⸻ 📍 Where is the shop? It's in a narrow alley near Talad Noi. If you walk from Charoen Krung Road, it's not too far. There's a small shop sign that says "Kuay Tiew Roo" in an old-fashioned way. It's like accidentally entering the 90s. The atmosphere in the shop is very classic. Round tables, wooden chairs, full of working people, locals, and foodies who know the area like us. 😎 ⸻ 💸 The price is super friendly. About 50-70 baht, my friend!! In this era, it's considered very cheap for such good quality food. Eat and you'll be full just right. You don't have to order more. But if you do, it's not wrong. It's really delicious. ⸻ 🕘 Opening-Closing Hours They open every day from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. But!! It's closed on the last Wednesday of the month. Don't go there by mistake. If you don't drive, it's better to park a bit far away and walk. • The shop doesn't have air conditioning, but it's not too hot because the wind blows in and out, which is okay. • If you're into taking pictures to post on Instagram, don't expect an aesthetic angle.
