Vulcano Island (Aeolian Islands)

#summervacay Vulcano smells of sulfur, looks like Mars, and somehow still manages to be totally beautiful. I hiked up the crater early in the morning — the views of the Aeolian Islands from the top were unbelievable. Afterward, I relaxed in the famous mud baths and then swam in the warm, bubbly sea. It’s wild, therapeutic, and unforgettable. You feel like you’re experiencing Earth in its most primal state. Not glamorous, but oh so worth it.
