The Cotswolds are also home to several historic sites, including Sudeley Castle, Snowshill Manor and Garden, and Chedworth Roman Villa. The Cotswolds are a popular tourist destination, offering a variety of activities such as hiking, cycling, and horseback riding. The area is also known for its many traditional pubs and restaurants, serving locally sourced food and drink. 🐟Fish and chips are a must-try in the area. 🚗*renting a car is required for this road trip: We took 1 day 1 night around the countryside to explore Cotswold, starting with a night visit to 📍castle combe (picture 2). Embrace the serenity of the small and quiet town. Spend the night around the area, and I recommend Cirencester for a peaceful and quiet night, before heading out the next day to 📍Bibury (picture 3). Visit 📍lower slaughter (pictures 1 and 6) to see the old mill (picture 1), and even engage in activities such as horse riding down the ancient town (picture 6). 📍Bourton-on-the-water (picture 4 and 5) is a serene small town where you can enjoy the beautiful views and stroll through the shophouses to thrift. 📍Broadway tower (last 2 pictures) is a lone standing castle built on a vast land of green hills. The Cotswolds, also known as Cotswold, is located in the southwest of England, not far from London. It is governed by five counties including Oxford, and its boundary is roughly from Stratford-upon-Avon to the south, extending to Radstock near Bath. Most of the buildings here are built with Cotswold stone, which presents a unique honey color, making the architectural style of the entire region unique. Many buildings have a long history, dating back to the 16th century or even earlier. There are quaint country houses, elegant manors, spectacular castles and historic churches. In addition, the Cotswolds also has vast fields, dense forests, clear streams and beautiful gardens. The Cotswolds include: Bourton-on-the-Water, Bibury, Castle Combe, Chipping Campden, Moreton-in-Marsh, etc. Although they are not far apart, due to the limited time this time, only the first two places were visited. Bourton-on-the-Water: Known as the "Venice of the Cotswolds", the Windrush River runs through the town, there are many ancient stone bridges on the river, and there are colorful flowers decorated with century-old stone houses on both sides, as well as exquisite cafes, restaurants and shops, full of tranquility and leisurely atmosphere, it is a good place for leisurely walks. Bibury: Known as the "most beautiful village in England", there are famous Arlington Row houses here, built in 1380, small houses made of beeswax-colored stones, very quaint and elegant, surrounded by beautiful pastoral scenery and streams. 🌸🌳Absolutely charming and a must see location when you come to England. Summer season will be quite crowded around these picturesque fairytale English villages. There were hardly any parking spaces at Bibury! We followed this Itenary: 🏵️ Bibury Highly recommended to arrive early in this village. Walk around the riverside to see the famous English cottages! The Trout farm is worth the hype and The Twigs cafe has amazing coffee and pastries. 🏵️ Bourton-on-the-Water This little town has so many pedestrian bridges and lovely ice cream shops! My fav was the ice cream next to Venezia Italian Restaurant. The bus ride views are stunning especially during spring time, flowers are blooming and weather is just on point for great photos. People are friendlier and calm, beautiful old buildings. Hiked to nearby hills, wild rabbits and colourful views. Glad that we decided to spent 1 whole day in this countryside. We created the best memories together #friendship

My visit to Upper Slaughter during the winter months was nothing short of magical. Tucked away in the heart of the Cotswolds, this charming village felt like a hidden gem, offering the perfect winter retreat. The stone cottages, wrapped in ivy and dusted with snow, looked like something straight out of a fairy tale, and the peacefulness of the surroundings made it easy to lose track of time. Walking along the narrow lanes, I couldn’t help but admire the idyllic scenes—the River Eye gently flowing through the village, surrounded by frost-covered trees and fields. It seems like you absolutely have to drive here. Luckily, when the church members asked me where I wanted to go, I strongly insisted that I wanted to go here, so we were able to come together.
