Gyeongbukgong Palace

Gyeongbukgong Palace is one of the palaces can be found in Seoul. This palace is located in 161 Sajik-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul, South Korea. This was the main royal palace during the Joseon Dynasty and was built in 1395 in northern part of Soeul, South Korea. Gyeongbokgung Palace is arguably the most beautiful, and remains the largest of all five palaces. The premises were once destroyed by fire during the Imjin War (1592-1598). However, all of the palace buildings were later restored under the leadership of Heungseondaewongun during the reign of King Gojong (1852-1919). The Changing of the Guard is one of the most anticipated events in the palace. Watch this customary rite that has been performed since the 14th century during the Joseon dynasty. As the guards walk toward the main palace grounds, you can hear the traditional gong, cymbal, and horn sounds. #fallingforfall #tripblazers #urbanexplorer #bucketlistreboot #passionpassport

Korean Bukchon Hanok Traditional Village

Korean Bukchon Hanok Traditional Village

Located between Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace, and the Jongmyo Shrine, Bukchon Hanok Village is a place with a high concentration of traditional Korean houses and is also the most representative traditional residential area in Seoul. There are many historical sites, cultural heritage, and folk materials everywhere. Therefore, it is called the street museum in the city center. The characteristics of the Hanok in Bukchon can be summarized as "evolving old methods" and "decorative tendencies". Although it lacks some of the traditional Hanok's complete features, such as lower roof slopes, round beams, double eaves, and narrow but numerous rooms, the Bukchon Hanok embodies the structural and aesthetic beauty of Hanok. From the advertisements of Hanok at that time, it reflected the requirements of urban housing such as density and anonymity, and as a new type of urban housing, the Hanok in Bukchon continued to develop.

Entering Seoul forest

#seoul Seoul forest is a quick escape out of the hustle and bustle of the city that is Seoul where the city skyscrapers stand tall to make the city stand out. The Seoul forest looks nothing quite like its city where it is a forest filled with floras and faunas of all kinds where you can come watch the Cherry blossom bloom in Spring and the leaves turns bronzes and falling in autumn. The park is really quiet with a giant pond, workout areas, playground. Whether you decide to run, cycle or walk, its going to be a good day when you are here!

When all the cakes are black and white- cafe Nudake

When all the cakes are black and white- cafe Nudake

This super cool cafe is in the chic Seongsudong district and is a short 10 minute walk from the Seongsu station. The one story building facade is beige in color with a giant red square facing the main road. It is a popular spot for taking photos so it can’t be missed. Once we walked inside the cafe, we noticed the very dim lighting that played a big contrast to the daylight outside. The large table in the middle of the cafe displayed at least 20 kinds of uniquely designed pastries, and almost 95 % of the pastries, including croissants, were black or white in color! Even my coffee was added with sesame flavored ice cubes! Cafe Nudake 26 Seongsui-ro 7-gil, Seongdong-gu, Seoul Hours 11-9pm daily #seoul #cafeinseoul #southkorean #cityexplorer

Tapgol Park

Tagpol Park is a city park in Jongno area not far from the Jongmyo Shrine. Also referred to as Pagoda Park, this is an important historical location in Seoul with several interesting things to see. The park is open from 6am to 8pm daily. Here you can see the 15th century, Wongaksa Pagoda. This is a 10-storey marble structure and an important national treasure which is encased in a glass building and supported by scaffolding. It is similar to the Gyeongcheonsa Pagoda you can see at the National Museum of Korea.#awesomepic #couplestrip #deliciousfood

A Fusion of Exotic Flavors - A Stroll Through Itaewon, Seoul

Stepping into Itaewon in Seoul feels like entering a kaleidoscope of exotic cultures. The streets here are a maze of intersecting paths, lined with cafes, art shops, and international restaurants, all showcasing a blend of diverse cultures. The red brick buildings on the corners, the painted walls, and the colorful neon signs make you stop and admire, as if you were wandering through the alleys of a European town. Choosing a random outdoor cafe, I ordered a cup of coffee and leaned by the window to observe the diverse passersby. Tourists from around the world and local young people gather here, each face brimming with curiosity and joy. The variety of languages and laughter intertwines into a lively symphony. In the distance, the N Seoul Tower comes into view, adding a touch of tranquility to the bustling scene. As the sun sets, the street lights gradually illuminate, revealing Itaewon's unique nighttime charm. The bustling bars and melodious music make this neighborhood even more enchanting. Itaewon is not only a place where cultures converge but also a place full of stories and warmth, making you want to return and immerse yourself in its exotic ambiance.

They have many kinds of pizzas and pastas available, and this restaurant also has several branches around Seoul. We ordered the Pizza, and pasta to be shared, and they tasted really good, woth generous spread of ingredients. We really enjoyed our dinner and will definitely go again.
