Introduction
Some information may have been translated by Google Translate
The Honolulu hula dance performance is a treasure of Hawaiian culture. It originated in Polynesia and tells stories with the curves of limbs and hips. Female dancers wear grass skirts and leis, while male dancers wear loincloths, with unique costumes. The dance is performed to the rhythm of traditional Hawaiian music, with graceful movements, strong imitation, and full of artistic appeal. In Honolulu, tourists can enjoy hula performances at the Polynesian Cultural Center, Kuhio Beach, Waikiki Beach, etc., and feel the charm of Hawaiian culture. In addition, Hawaii also holds a variety of hula festivals and competitions, such as the Goddess Cup Kaiki Hula Festival, which provides tourists with an opportunity to learn more about hula. Hula is not only an important part of Hawaiian traditional culture, but also an important way for Hawaiian people to express their emotions and convey their values. By watching hula performances, tourists can gain a deeper understanding of Hawaii's history, culture and lifestyle, and experience its unique charm.

Waikiki’s Walls

Waikiki beach “Walls” area are a big concrete pool that reduces the crashing waves over the beach, good place to stay if you are scare of the sea or bring little kids with you. It’s a safe zone. A small gap in the walls allows the sea flow. This wall viewpoint allows you to enter the sea and enjoy a gorgeous full view of the beach. Very popular location for local kids, to jump into the sea from the high wall, or take gorgeous pictures. #staycation #beachlife #summervacation #historicallandmarks #culture #hawai #hawaii #beach #waikiki #criskotsu #oahu #honolulu #waikikibeach #summertrip #summerdays

Waikiki trolley tour

our first full day on this Hawaiian holiday and we decided to do the Waikiki Trolley Tour. There are 3 lines to choose from so we did the Blue line (costal sightseeing) and the Red line (cultural downtown) It was a great way to take in as much of the area as we could in a small amount of time. All the trolley routes are hop on / hop off but we were enjoying the narration so much we decided to stay on the whole route so as not to loose our guide (shout out to DJ Ray Ray - the best guide in Hawaii). The tour was very informative and the guides we’ve their own local knowledge in along with the historical and cultural facts making it that much more personal and enjoyable. #gooutside

A haven in the Pacific Ocean

A haven in the Pacific Ocean

Honolulu is not only the political and economic center of Hawaii, but also an important sea and air traffic hub in the Pacific Ocean. Its strategic location is particularly important, and most ships crossing the Pacific Ocean need to enter the port for berthing. Hawaiians call Honolulu 'Honolulu', which means a haven. There are islands outside the port of Honolulu as a barrier, which is a natural good port. There are two large port pools in the port, with many breakwaters and alongshore docks. There are 23 main dock berths, equipped with various loading and unloading equipment, and the single-point mooring buoy can berth up to 125,000 tons of oil tankers.

Morning at Waikiki Beach

I headed to Waikiki Beach as soon as I woke up early in the morning, and it was the best decision ever😍 The view of the ocean from the quiet beach was indescribably beautiful. The clear sky and the endless stretch of emerald sea were mesmerizing. Starting the morning with the sound of gentle waves and the refreshing sea breeze was just perfect. Makapu’u Lighthouse Trail: A Scenic Hike with Views that Take Your Breath Away

#alohaspirit If you’re looking for a hike in Hawaii that combines stunning coastal views with a dose of history, the Makapu’u Lighthouse Trail is the perfect choice. Located on the southeastern coast of Oahu, this 2-mile round-trip trail offers some of the most picturesque views on the island, making it a must-see for visitors and locals alike. The trail is paved, making it accessible for hikers of all levels. As you ascend, you’ll pass through rugged terrain with panoramic views of the turquoise Pacific Ocean, craggy cliffs, and nearby islands. At the top, you’ll be greeted by the iconic Makapu’u Point Lighthouse, which has been guiding ships safely since 1909. The lighthouse, though no longer in operation, remains a symbol of Hawaii’s maritime history. Along the way, keep an eye out for native wildlife, including seabirds and, during the winter months, migrating humpback whales. The hike is relatively short, but the scenery makes it feel like you’ve ventured into a faraway paradise. Whether you’re capturing the view on camera or simply soaking in the natural beauty, the Makapu’u Lighthouse Trail is an unforgettable experience with views that will stay with you long after the hike is over.
