Goose Specialty Coffee

#australiatrip Best Cafe ever! Came to Cairns on a work trip and found this gem close by. The service, food, coffee and atmosphere were top tier, so I visited three days in a row pretty much as soon as it opened its doors. It was my most anticipated meal of the day!! I tried the pecorino crisp (cheesy mushrooms), avo toast and smoked duo (salmon with heirloom tomatoes) and an ice latte in sunny Cairns is a must. Not to mention their smoothies were also delicious, so I also bought that on the go almost every day to keep hydrated.

Jewelled sea - natural wonder downunder

It has always been one of my bucket lists to visit the Great Barrier Reef and it certainly did not disappoint! The weather was perfect on our sailing day with cerulean blue sky and light breeze. We booked a cruise tour which included two reef locations- Saxon Reef and Hasting Reef. It was one of the most amazing experience ever! The two sites were quite different in terms of their marine landscapes and great for different activities. The Saxon Reef was relatively greater in depth and would be a perfect location for a dive, whereas Hasting Reef has spectacular coral reef at proximity even when snorkelling. We saw a huge local fish called ‘Wally’ (Maori Wrasse) and many other marine life! Would love to visit another reef next time! Tips: even if the sea was calm, highly recommend to take sea sickness prevention pills in advance. #greatbarrierreef #naturalwonders #queensland #cairns #australia

Ndy beach

#australiatrip Ndy Beach, located on Fitzroy Island off the coast of Queensland, Australia, is renowned for its pristine natural beauty and clear, turquoise waters. It features white sandy shores and is often regarded as one of the most beautiful beaches in the region. The beach is popular for snorkeling, swimming, and relaxation, and its serene environment makes it ideal for enjoying the natural surroundings. While the beach is known for its laid-back atmosphere, it is not a designated nude beach and swimming attire is generally expected.

Cruze Coffee

#australiatrip Wow, wow, wow... what an experience! The smell of coffee bean is what brought me to this wonderful little gem in the heart of Cairns. I was blown away by the selection of beans on offer. With so much to choose from, I asked the service staff "I will have what is a popular blend" as I am no coffee connoisseur. The iced coffee brew was amazing. Smooth, rich and creamy... they staff (maybe the owner) took great pride in his shop and the service was top quality. I will be heading back next time I am in Cairns to hopefully enjoy more of the wide range of beans on display.

Daintree Rainforest

The Daintree is World Heritage listed for very good reasons. it's an awesome experience just being in the rainforest, breathing in the atmosphere, seeing the huge variety of life, it leaves you speechless when a cassowary stops and checks you out, yes, we saw wild cassowaries on different days. And there is a natural ice cream factory never thought ice cream could taste that fresh ! #couplestrip#nationalpark#naturalwonders

I have been a regular at caffiend ever since I first tried their coffee. Price wise too i think they are quite good. The brunch and some of the breakfast options are brilliant. What I love about caffiend is their Japanese or Korean touch added to dishes. Their avocado toast or even the truffle mushroom toast is simply stunning. I haven't had any better in cairns. The staff is friendly and while it can get crowded during certain hours but I have always found a seta without having to wait. I would highly recommend eating here and trying their coffee. #australiatrip #cairns #localgems #summerdestination

The building itself is pretty cool too, with its heritage-listed architecture. Perfect for a little culture fix! They feature a variety of art styles, including contemporary, Indigenous, and traditional pieces. You can find paintings, sculptures, photography, and even some mixed media works. It’s a great mix that showcases local talent and different artistic expressions!

Chezest Cafe

#australiatrip This is a cute, no-nonsense cafe and bakery. It's clean, efficiently run and staff are polite. They have a Japanese twist too, with chicken and pork katsu offered in curry and sandwich format. The food is fresh and exactly what you expect. It's slightly more expensive than I would normally pay, but it was a pleasant experience. I recommend adding the sautéd mushrooms to your breakfast! Very tasty.

River rafting day❤️

River rafting day❤️

#rafting Because the Barron River waterway has been destroyed, at present, Cairns' rafting project can only be booked to Tully River. At first, I refused to drift for three or four hours, and I couldn't stop everyone from lobbying each other. This is probably the most primitive and exciting time I have ever drifted, because I was too nervous and my hearing was already poor. I didn't hear many things that the coach said clearly. After I started to drift, the sound of water was so loud that I couldn't hear the password at all- but holyshit heard very clearly-The weather is completely in line with expectations. It's drizzling, and there are green mountains on both sides of the river. There is a kind of poetry and painting beauty of boating in Guilin. Especially when the water surface is stable in the last section, the clouds will rain. The feeling of the sunset on the lake is really quiet and beautiful, and it is also a sense of calmness after rushing through all the rapid currents- At night, I drove out of the no man's land and ate fast food in a roadside restaurant. Tike jazz very much. The feeling of listening to the rain under the eaves always allows me to move away from everyone around me to enter my own world in minutes (often distracted and disconnected from the net). Sitting on a rocking chair with hot tea and a blanket leaning together. Watching the rain under the eaves of the courtyard full of green plants and listening to Sanskrit is probably the state of life I want. There is a little meaning described in Zhu Shenghao's love letter. Think~ The change of mood in the whole drifting is probably from the beginning I had to go home to I can drift to Tasmania at the end. Thanks to the encouragement of my teammates. As a person who almost drowned when I was a child, I was afraid of water sickness to swimming in the swimming pool during the summer vacation in primary school, and then participated in all kinds of exciting water. The feeling of exercising, breaking through oneself and overcoming fear is really great- DS: Sending group photos is really the scene of the five-hospital linkage, and N times a day. #australiatrip Awesome little Cafe on Spence Street in the heart of Cairns. Open for breakfast and lunch, same menu so breakfast available at lunch time too. I was staying around the corner at Pullman International Hotel just 2 minutes walk away. Had breakfast a few times, toast, yoghurt cup and their big breakfast which was delicious. Very friendly staff and very good coffee. They got 2 blends of coffee, smooth or strong. Yum

Pantry 15

#australiatrip This is a lovely little cafe, looks and feels good the minute you step inside. Great for coeliacs (like me) as totally gluten free. But unfortunately that also means it is more expensive than other cafes due to high cost of gf ingredients. I had the pancake stack for brekkie, which was gorgeous. The presentation is perfection, makes it not only authentic but just an absolute pleasure to be in. I had Pink Flamingo when I went back, absolutely delicious.
