Jeongbang Waterfall

#koreatrip "Jeongbang Waterfall is absolutely stunning. It’s one of the rare waterfalls in the world that falls directly into the ocean. The sound of crashing water combined with the sea breeze made for a peaceful atmosphere. The walk down to the falls involves navigating rocky terrain, so sturdy footwear is essential. I spent about an hour taking in the view and snapping photos. Vendors nearby sell snacks and drinks, adding to the convenience. It’s a quick yet memorable stop, ideal for those who appreciate natural beauty and unique landscapes."

Wonang Falls

#koreatrip This place is a magical paradise you can’t miss if you’re active, into swimming in nature, and can deal with stairs. The water is freezing but plunging into the cold water is invigorating and you feel every cell of your body coming to life that you will regret passing by it. The hike up and down and steps to the waterfall is absolutely worth it to be a part of this piece of heaven on earth!

Jeju Island in winter is a romantic wonderland! Camellias in the snow, this is the place to be!

Jeju Island in winter is a romantic wonderland! Camellias in the snow, this is the place to be!

Camellias and tangerine orchards are synonymous with Seogwipo, Jeju Island. In winter, pink camellias are in full bloom. If you visit Jeju Island in winter, be sure to spend half a day at Camellia Forest to admire the camellias❗️ If you're lucky, you'll catch the snow, and it's truly romantic 😭 Here's a guide to winter flower viewing in Seogwipo❗️Save it now~ —————— 📷Attraction | Camellia Forest 동백포레스트 (copy from pinned comment) 📍Location | East of Seogwipo City (see pinned comment image) 🚌Transportation | 1️⃣By bus, get off near the city center and walk for more than 20 minutes (1.5 km) to reach the destination (my mode of transportation) 2️⃣By taxi, it's more expensive to start from the city center, so you can take a taxi at the bus stop (it's easier to get a taxi online than offline) 🎫Ticket | KRW 6,000/person ⚠️ There are several camellia gardens in Seogwipo, but this one is highly recommended by everyone~ It's really worth it❗️ —————— The entire tea garden is bigger than expected! Around January 20 is already the end of the camellia season. Although many flowers have withered, the camellia carpet is still very romantic. The luckiest thing is that it snowed on a sunny day❗️The tea garden is simply beautiful 😭 ◼️My favorite photo spots ◽️Turn right at the entrance This area is the best place to take photos❗️At the end, there is a high observation deck where you can overlook the entire tea garden~ Images 1, 2, 3 ◽️Turn left at the entrance This area has fewer people, so it's easy to wait for an empty shot, images 4, 5 ◽️Go straight at the entrance There is a small square with wooden seats and a camellia background, image 6. I also took images 7, 8, 9, 10 nearby. ◽️Cafe at the entrance The round window aesthetics on the first floor are very impressive~ Image 11, the outdoor terrace on the second floor also offers a panoramic view of the tea garden, images 12, 13 ◽️Atmospheric scenery There are also tangerine trees, Korean signs, and beautiful birds in the tea garden, images 14, 15, 16 ◽️In addition❗️ The snack bar opposite the ticket office has camellia cheese cakes~ Image 17 —————— ◼️Flowering period Camellia flowering period | November to early February of the following year My photo time | January 24, 2024 Flowering period | It's already the end of the season, and many flowers have withered, but I think it's still quite beautiful~ And the probability of snow in January is relatively high, which is more romantic❗️

Gapa Island and Mara Island.. Songaksan Coastal Trekking..

Songaksan trekking is truly a dream journey for travelers who love sunsets and photography. As you climb the mountain at dusk and watch the sea and sky gradually turn red, you feel both calm and excited. When you reach the top of Songaksan, the view opens up to Gapa Island, Mara Island, and the Jeju coastline all at once, and the thought of capturing the changing light in that scenery fills you with excitement. The view of the sea beyond the crater is a unique scene that is hard to find elsewhere. The red sunset reflecting on the sea, and the light wrapping around the crater and coastal cliffs, is truly special. The sunset at Songaksan makes you forget the fatigue of the day and feel both the peace and awe that nature provides. Every moment you take a photo, the desire to capture that beauty grows, making you wish time would pass more slowly there.

Lovely family activity

This makes for a very nice family activity. It's quite well maintained. The aquarium itself has a decent variety of tanks. Definitely nowhere close to the big aquariums in Asia as some reviews try to allude to. Not all tanks were very well kept and there was misinformation on a few signs on where some of the fish are from, such as some South American fish (Oscar and others) informed as being from the Mekong River in Asia and some North American fish (alligator gar and sturgeon) as being from South American Region. #familytravel #aquarium #jeju

Come to Jeju Island and climb a mountain that is not very high but has stunning scenery

Come to Jeju Island and climb a mountain that is not very high but has stunning scenery. Taking advantage of the rich autumn colors, I recently took a friend who just arrived on Jeju Island for a trip to Songaksan Mountain again. Rather than climbing, it is more accurate to say we were walking up the mountain. Located in the western part of Jeju Island, Songaksan is a section of the Olle trail. The entrance has a steep slope that leads directly to the mid-mountain, where a vast sea and the nearby Sanbangsan Mountain suddenly appear before your eyes. This is a trail along the coastline with a very broad view, where you can see both Sanbangsan Mountain and Brother Island at the same time. On clear days, you can even see Hallasan Mountain in the distance. The first half of the Songaksan hike offers an unbeatable seascape, while the second half enters into the pine forest ambiance, with purple flowers and Honeysuckle that has not yet finished blooming in summer along the boardwalk. The white horses, haenyeo (female divers), and anglers on the cliffs that you see along the way are definitely the most authentic scenery of Jeju Island. Address: 421-1, Seongsan-ri, Seogwipo-si, Jeju-do The whole journey takes about 2 hours and is free of charge. After the climb, you can rest at the bustling Starbucks at the foot of the mountain, and if you continue along the coastline, you can reach a very popular and trendy restaurant. For an introduction to the restaurant, see yesterday's blog post.

Winter Trip to Gapado Island in Jeju

Winter Trip to Gapado Island in Jeju

Address: Gapari, Daejeong-eup, Seogwipo-si, Jeju I visited Gapado Island in winter. Although it is the fourth largest island in Jeju, it is not very large, making it perfect for a leisurely tour. Since it was winter, there weren't many tourists, so it was much quieter and more serene compared to Udo. Strolling around the island and enjoying the scenery combined with the sea, I felt my complicated thoughts calm down and a sense of tranquility wash over me. I highly recommend it to those who want to spend some quiet time in nature!
