Travelodge Watford Central

Staff was very helpful, gave recommendations on how to get around on the train system. The room was clean and drinks were reasonably priced down at the pub.

Had to wait 10 minutes for the man on reception to find the booking. He scared us by saying he couldn’t find it and took a while before letting us know we did have a room. Whilst waiting in the bar the tables were dirty and the seats. The bathroom was dated but the bed was cofmy and the room was adequate for the price paid.

I stayed at Travelodge Watford Central for two nights with my family. Unfortunately, my experience with the service was very disappointing. Communication at reception was difficult and not very welcoming. Even though I paid for both breakfast and dinner, no one clearly explained how the food service worked. When I went down for dinner, I was told the wait would be around 45 minutes, but I ended up waiting nearly two hours. The food arrived burnt and was not enjoyable, so I didn’t eat it. I also had an issue when trying to pay extra for food, as the card payment was not working and there was no flexibility or alternative offered, which made the situation even more stressful. However, I would really like to highlight Anna from the housekeeping team. She was very friendly, helpful and made me feel looked after, which I really appreciated. Her attitude and care really stood out. Thank you Anna – you made a difference during my stay.

Don't go here if travelling alone as a female. Did not feel at all safe Room was full of cobwebs, too hot and there was a too fast , too furious situation happening in the car park next door. Don't bother....

My first time at Watford travelodge and I was impressed by the large & clean room I had. The bed was lovely & comfortable.The bathroom was big and clean and had handrails I was thankful for as I have some mobility problems. The staff were friendly. I will definately be booking here again on my next trip to Watford.

Superb location just around the corner from everything! Even the carpark is next door. Stayed during the hottest weekend this year and still had a comfortable stay. Finished off with a good breakfast before setting off home. Would definitely stay again but next time will be taking my own hairdryer as only had a few and don’t want to be without again.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was nice and clean with nice size clean bathroom. Given the hotel location is in the centre of Watford and only about a 20 minute stroll to the tube and railway the main road at the front of the hotel was fairly noisy with the window open but reduced slightly with the window closed and it was nice to have a fan in the room given the temperatures outside were plus 25 degrees Celsius, that said you still get a good nights sleep in a comfy bed. The Bar menu had a nice selection of food and drink which included a nice meal deal option, breakfast in the morning had plenty of choices.
