Fairfield Inn & Suites Washington

Very nice hotel. The staff was especially friendly. Breakfast was good and went until 10:00 a.m. The patio off of the dining area is very nice. Service was great. Room was comfortable, exceptionally clean, and quiet. Parking lot was sufficiently sized. Didn't happen to use the pool, but it looked very clean and well-attended to. Location was excellent. Price was fine. Couldn't ask for better.

The only comment I have is the room was to have two queen beds but one of the beds felt like a full size not queen size as advertised.

This is a clean and comfortable chain hotel located outside the downtown area. Local attractions can easily be reached by car. I found the people accommodating and all was clean.

Remarkably clean and friendly staff. Lovely large shower with great water pressure. Comfy bed and pillow. Better than average breakfast.

The room was clean and we didn’t have to ask for the room to be cleaned after we left each day.

I checked into the Fairfield Inn in Washington, North Carolina on December 26th at 7 PM. By 10:30 PM, I had to go to the front desk due to bedbugs crawling up the wall. I had already killed several of them by the time I got there, and the hotel staff helped collect a few more using a water bottle. I was offered a different room, but given the number of bugs I saw, I declined and asked if I could sleep in my vehicle instead. I requested that the hotel manager, Stephanie Alligood, call me the next day to resolve the issue and expected compensation in the form of points for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, I never received that call. After following up myself, I was told the manager would call me in a couple of days, but instead, she only sent an email. As a Marriott Platinum member, this experience was incredibly disappointing. I've never encountered anything like this in all my stays with Marriott, and the lack of proper follow-up or accountability was frustrating. Stephanie seemed dismissive of my concerns, choosing only to communicate via email and not addressing the situation in a more personal or empathetic way. This experience has left me with a negative view of Marriott, and I can’t see myself returning after how this situation was handled.

This was not a bad experience, but not very good either. The lobby staff was very pleasant and helpful. The room was very basic, and the only chair was very uncomfortable. Look carefully at the descriptions of the various rooms on offer. The WiFi connection in the room was poor. The free breakfast was appreciated but the quality of the muffins was not appealing. The entrance space of the hotel is quite large, mostly for the breakfast tables; the lobby is otherwise pretty austere, with a few armchairs and a large padded "sofa" setup. All in all, not what we expected as a Marriott Bonvoy!
