Great location close enough to the station but opposite the lovey Forbury park away from the hustle in Friar Street. Quirky decor, Lovey staff and breakfast. Unfortunately the lift was broken during our stay which to us was an inconvenient but would have been a major problem to anyone with mobility issues. Maybe worth checking on booking this is sorted

Breakfast is greart! service is top level, only downside is that the facility is dated. I can't use the bathtub and overhead shower. I arrived late and checked out early, so didn't bother to change rooms.

The hotel doesn’t give a 5 star Vibe. Rooms need refurbishment and staff aren’t welcoming and are unprofessional.

Absolutely beautiful hotel! All the staff and really friendly!

A beautiful hotel in an old building in the heart of the city. The breakfast was very good with plenty pf choice. The only issue was the heating in the bathroom which wasn’t working and despite requests to the front desk wasn’t fixed

We enjoyed our stay in the Roseate and would be happy to stay again.

the stay was very nice and the staff very polite the room clean and comfy

Very comfy room, great facilities and fantastic service! Will be returning :)

How did they get their 5 stars? It's a very terriable experience.  Don't be fooled by the promotional pictures, it was dark in the building and the narrow lift was very depressing. I checked in in January when the hotel reception was warm, but walking into the room was a different story. Only a very small heater was provided and there was only one blanket; I even had to wear a heavy coat all the day. Even woke up freezing in the middle of the night. Absolutely not worth the price and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone nor would I stay here again.
