The Hermitage Hotel

Hotel was gorgeous!! Historic. We stayed for 5 nights and didn't want to leave. Staff was so helpful. I would like to especially mention Jordan. He was the highlight of the stay. He made sure we had everything we needed and made us feel super special. We just came back from trips to Rosewood Resort in St. Barts and Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego. The Hermitage Hotel was right up there with Jordan service. He gets it!! He is a huge asset to The Hermitage Hotel.

I stayed at the Hermitage Hotel with my wife because my longtime friend since meeting at Vanderbilt University in 1980 was getting married there to another of our Vandy classmates after they both lost their spouses to cancer several years ago. The hotel is beautiful and all the people helping us were great. And the wedding ceremony and reception were very well done too. It was a joyful celebration for everyone there and The Hermitage enhanced everyone’s enjoyment of a very special occasion.

From the moment of arrival, being greeted immediately by staff, to room service, to turn down service, to keeping the room clean and even to the food, I found nothing that I could say needed improvement. It was a great experience.

Not only is the property gorgeous, but the hospitality was perhaps even better. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, nice touches throughout (those chocolate truffles at turn down, chefs kiss!). Great jumping off location for walking to downtown, germantown and the gulch. Only wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy afternoon tea and breakfast at the Pink Hermit! Guess we just have to come back!

Gorgeous, professional, warm, comfortable, spotless, delicious food choices, incredibly helpful staff.. why stay anywhere else?

From the moment we walked in the door until the moment we, sadly, walked out for the final time, this hotel was perfection on every level. The staff cannot do enough to ensure that you have a pleasant stay, yet doing so in the manner of well-trained staff of years ago, not in a solicitous manner. Michael in the Gift Shop spent an hour trying to find a product, that is no longer made, for me. Jessica, a hotel engineer who was there working while I was in the gift shop, took me to see a wedding event being set up in the ballroom, at my request. Michael and Jessica and I ended up talking for an hour, and there was a lot of laughter! I felt like I made two new friends. I asked Jessica about a photo which I had been told existed of Elvis getting his shoes polished in the men's room. I wanted to see it, so within minutes of us departing, Jessica emailed the hotel's historian, who wrote to me immediately. Another outstanding employee took us from the restaurant to the famous men's bathroom so that we could see it. I wish that I remembered her name, as she was so kind. When we arrived, Georgia was at the top of the stairs to greet us and help in any way...BEFORE we checked in! The cleanliness of our room and the hotel is impeccable. The Frette sheets, the luxurious towels...perfection. Turn down service at night was also excellent. The food at both the cafe and the restaurant was superlative, and I live in NY, so I am used to very good restaurants. I have eaten in many Jean Georges restaurants. Even Faroe Salmon off the "In-dining" menu was amazing! I do not have enough superlatives to say about this wonderful hotel that lives hospitality for all of its guests.

We chose The Hermitage Hotel as the venue for our daughter’s wedding on August 15, 2026, and I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience. From start to finish, the staff was incredibly professional, attentive, and accommodating. They were always there whenever we needed anything and went above and beyond to make sure every detail was taken care of. The hospitality was exceptional, and we felt so well cared for throughout the entire wedding weekend. The hotel itself is absolutely breathtaking. There is so much beauty and attention to detail throughout the property, especially in the lobby and the Veranda Room. Every space provided the perfect backdrop for such a special celebration. The Hermitage Hotel does require that you have a wedding planner, and I cannot recommend Bruce Pittman highly enough. He is truly the best there is! His communication, creativity, organization, and incredible eye for detail are absolutely out of this world. Bruce went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, and he made the entire planning process so much easier and more enjoyable. When you hire Bruce Pittman, you know you are in the very best hands! We could not have been happier with our experience at The Hermitage Hotel. If you are looking for a truly incredible wedding venue in Nashville, I highly recommend The Hermitage. It is, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful and special hotels in Nashville and the perfect place to celebrate such an important occasion!

We were in town celebrating our son's 21st birthday. We had a fabulous time. The hotel is beautiful, the food was delicious, and the staff was very friendly. Rabaz was especially polite and helpful. Our son received chocolate covered strawberries in our room. So thoughtful! We will definitely be back!
