The hotel was nice. No microwave was disappointing. Also would have been nice if parking fees were known in advance.

Don't stay here. When we checked in the woman at the desk was very friendly and even recommended other concerts we might like to see. That night someone knocked on our door. Later that night we were awakened by running and loud conversation in the hall. The next morning there was no one at the breakfast counter. The woman at the desk did not smile and was not friendly. We had added a $30 breakfast package to our bill. The breakfast consisted of a homemade sign at a counter that listed breakfast wraps, bananas, oranges, juice and cans of soda. The woman at the desk had to prepare our order and brought it to our table without smiling or replying. Another angry looking woman showed up and when I asked for a can of soda told me to get it out of the frig on the other side of the lobby. We had better service at McDonald's and friendlier staff the day before. The name Hilton and Hotel should be revoked from this place. This is supposed to be a hospitality industry. Also the self parking which we had to pay extra for was in a parking garage beside the hotel which was not listed on the hotel site. There was no name on the parking garage or that it was for the hotel, it just said parking.

My stay at Scholar Morgantown, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, was an excellent reminder of why travelers are increasingly choosing Marriott over Hilton. The hotel charged me for parking despite its parking garage being closed for renovations and unavailable for guest use. I was forced to find and pay for parking elsewhere, yet the charge still appeared on my bill. I was also charged for marketplace purchases despite having a food and beverage credit that should have covered them. What was even more disappointing than the billing errors was the complete lack of customer service. The front desk was routinely unattended. At check-in, we stood waiting until we finally had to track down an employee ourselves. When assistance finally arrived, the interaction felt more like an inconvenience to the staff than a welcome to paying guests. Mistakes happen in hospitality. What matters is how they're handled. In this case, the hotel created the problems, charged guests for unavailable amenities, failed to provide the level of service expected from a Hilton property, and then left me to spend my own time pursuing a resolution whilst being incredibly rude throughout the entire process. I cannot think of another hotel where I was charged for amenities that did not exist during my stay while simultaneously receiving some of the least attentive service I have experienced. The only mistake I made was choosing this property instead of a Marriott. Hilton has built its reputation on service and guest experience. Unfortunately, this property did not reflect either. I will not be returning and would strongly encourage other travelers to consider alternatives before booking here.

I called in to get some information about some trivago pictures and was interrupted by a self important egotistic women who when I was saying she didn't need to interrupt me and the fact that I use an ADA transcriber she HUNG UP ON ME! I will NEVER stay here again.

STAY AWAY from this hotel!!!!! I can’t believe this place has a 4 start review! We arrived on Thursday night at 9:45pm after a 6 hour tired and exhausted from our drive. Upon entering the hotel there was a weird smell couldn’t tell if it was cleaner or musty water smell. Front desk was friendly and only positive pert of the hotel. We stayed in a suite on first floor room 105. We entered our room and there was a very musty smell in the room. The further we got in the room the smell just got worse. Went to use the bathroom and the smell of musty mold cat pee just hit us. The bathroom tiles were making nose and moving as we walked in them. We all just wanted to get to bed since we had an early morning at WVU for new student orientation. Thankfully we had to be out of that room for majority of the day on Friday. By the time we came back to our room after dinner my wife and daughter just wanted to leave for home and didn’t want to stay for the last night. I was too tired to drive back home and we just got up early on Saturday to get out of there. We thought of asking for a different room but worries the next room would be far worse than the one we already had. We will not be returning to this place and strongly suggest that the build under goes testing for mold and have some major renovations made to it. Once we got home we had to immediately wash everything we brought clean and dirty clothes because they all smelled like the hotel room.

After reading the reviews, I was a little afraid to stay here, but it had already been booked. I was pleasantly surprised! Myself and two friends stayed in a two queen bedroom. We found it very nice and clean. The small part of the hotel that we saw looked nice. I did online check in and check out. The bed was comfy. There was a lot of road noise, so maybe bring a sound machine. The parking garage was the worst part. My friend and I drive an expedition and a suburban, and it was very tight going around all the turns. I had to back up quite a few times to be able to make it around the corners. The parking garage was in disrepair, and there was no elevator or stairs, so we had to walk down and up the ramps. I had prepaid parking and it didn’t let me use the app to raise the gate. Thankfully, there was a man behind us with a room key so he swiped it to raise the gate. Otherwise, we would’ve had to leave our vehicles sit there and walk around, into the main door of the hotel for help. The entrance and exit ramps are also the same and they are for one car only. We never saw the parking lot.

Hotel needs a lot of work. I am surprised this is considered part of the Tapestry Collection from Hilton. Hotel is way understaffed. Parking Garage should be condemned. No working Stairwell and chunks of the ceiling are missing. Rooms are in desperate need of a refresh. Hotel stunk of **** at night. Only positive was the water pressure.

Staff was great including Tyler who made me coffee at 5:30 in the morning because our coffee maker in our room didn’t work

Front desk staff were friendly. Room was clean. They accommodated parking our tall car in an uncovered lot next door. Plus location was walkable for restaurants/beverages.
