Hyatt Place Moncton

The location and hotel were great. What was very disappointing was I booked a room with 2 Queen beds. When we checked in yesterday afternoon they said they upgraded my room to king size bed because of how busy they were. I said that was nice, but I was with my 81 year old father and needed 2 beds like I booked. They said oh sorry, but there's a couch in your room. I had 30 minutes to get ready for a family funeral, so I didn't have time to insist something be done. Needless to say I wasn't going to make my father sleep on the couch, so I did. Advised the front desk about this this morning and they said oh sorry.

This is an excellent property to stay at. This property opened in 2020. It has a lovely, well thought out lobby. Everything everywhere is clean. There is a bar around from the reception area, and it also has fresh, complimentary coffee 24 hours a day. The staff are very friendly. We had a standard two-bed room with sofa bed. What a surprise the room is. It's very spacious. The couch is even comfortable to sit on. The beds were very comfortable. The room was clean, and our two-night stay was quiet, quiet. There were plenty of plugs for devices, an in-room safe and a little fridge. There is no microwave. The bathroom is very spacious with a shower, no bath. The location is wonderful. We were able to walk around downtown to several restaurants. There is paid parking next door. Get your ticket validated, and it's good for unlimited in/out privileges for a daily rate. There is on-street parking, but it now uses a QR code and an app and ..... so much work. There is a complimentary breakfast. It was very good and fresh. The second night we came to the hotel we could see they had a tour bus of people staying at the hotel. We heard no noise in the night. The next morning as we waited for the breakfast to open, 7 a.m., people from the tour started amassing in the foyer, lounge area. No doubt they were heading out early for the Hopewell Rocks low tide which would have been sometime after 8:30. We wondered how the breakfast staff would handle the onslaught of people, but they did a stellar job. Nothing ever ran out, and things were replaced as they ran low. They have a window behind the hot items that goes straight to the kitchen, so putting fresh, hot stuff was quick. What a great design idea. Honestly, someone really took the time to lay out the public places of this hotel in an efficient and welcoming way. Can't speak to the pool or the gym as I didn't try those. Very impressed with the hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Really enjoyed our stay at the HYATT in Moncton. Conveniently located in downtown Moncton, the hotel was modern, with a nice pool. Rooms were accommodated a family of 5 well, and the breakfast was better than expected. Would definitely be back here next time we are in Moncton exploring the nearby attractions (Fundy National Park and Hopewell Rocks)

Stayed here for couple of nights using Moncton as a base. Hotel was very comfortable. Large clean room. We were told hotel opened 6 years ago. Does not feel like that-still very fresh. Staff were friendly and helpful. We got to Moncton about lunchtime and went to hotel to leave car but when we went in they told us a room was available so we could get immediate access. Excellent service. It is well located for bars and restaurants. Decent choice at breakfast which is included. Doubt if we will ever be back in Moncton but if we were would happily stay here again.

They were staying at the Hyatt for a convention in June. This is something we do every year and we're always welcomed back. The staff always is smiling and remembers us. They're always very accommodating and helpful. The hotel itself is a beautiful location with restaurants within walking distance and just across the road from the Coliseum. The rooms are nice and clean and the double Queens can accommodate six people which is rare at a hotel. We look forward to going back next year if we can.
