The Cross at Croscombe

We have just stayed for one night. Greeted by Terri and offered tea and warm scones with jam and cream, sitting in the lovely sunny courtyard. The B and B is lovely, tastefully decorated , an honesty bar, with alcoholic and soft drinks. Lovely lounge to relax in. Now we come to the breakfast, wow ! Such a choice of fresh fruits, cereals, yoghurts etc. then Terri cooks a fresh full English with delicious proper bacon and sausages from a local village butcher. I wrote in the visitor book, one of the best if not THE best breakfasts we’ve ever had. We will be back ! Elaine Small

We've just come back from a two night stay and couldn't fault a thing! Liam and Jo took care of us superbly whilst Terri (the owner) took a well deserved holiday. The room we stayed in (Sheppey) was very spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. Although the room faced the main road there was no noise disturbance and the views were delightful. Breakfast was amazing with lots of choices, including juices, cereals, fruit, nuts, yogurt, jams, cheeses, croissants, toast, and of course as much or as little of a full English cooked breakfast as you wanted! It was so nice to be offered tea and home made lemon drizzle cake and shortbread when we arrived, very welcome after a long journey. We would definitely return to The Cross the next time we visit Somerset.

Would give 10 stars if I could. Everything about this beautiful B&B was perfect. Started with a warm welcome from Terri who was friendly and accommodating and finished with a fabulous cooked breakfast. Beds comfortable and our room was pretty and well furnished. Would 100% recommend.

The room was very spacious and comfortable everything and more was provided for our stay. Was offered a cream tea on arrival which of course we excepted. There was a great choice at breakfast. Terri was a wonderful host full of local knowledge. Would highly recommend. Crosscombe was a lovely village with a great pub serving good food. There was a bar at the b and b.

Just arrived home from four nights at The Cross....and missing it and Terri already. The Cross is THE most beautifully stylish B and B. Our room(s), Mells, was just gorgeous with everything we could possibly wish for. Breakfasts were totally delicious with plenty of choice, nothing was too much trouble. We could quite easily have just stayed at The Cross and not ventured out at all, tho it is brilliantly situated for driving out. Terri is the loveliest, most hospitable and knowledgeable host....we miss her already. Cannot recommend highly enough Big, huge thanks from Terry and Linda J (Kent) xx

What a wonderful experience staying at The Cross. Terri was an excellent host, very hospitable and so helpful. On arriving we were offered a coffee and scone with jam and cream. Our room, Sheppy, was very spacious with a couple of armchairs right by the bay window. The lovely walk in shower was very powerful. We didn't use the roll top bath. Plenty of room for our suitcase etc and the wardrobe was a good size. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and a bottle of water all provided. The breakfast was amazing! Numerous cereals, fruits, seeds and juices. Great cooked breakfast and the toast was so tasty. Terri very kindly told us about parking for our trip to Wells. She really couldn't have been more accommodating. We will certainly be back and I will tell friends and family if they find themselves wanting to stay in the area. Keep up the great work Terri!

The Cross is an amazing place to stay, the rooms are well appointed and so clean with all you need to make your stay complete. Terri, the owner, goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and your stay enjoyable. The breakfasts are second to none with a great choice of cereals, fresh fruit, yogurts, fruit juices etc., and then there is the cooked option, the full English sets you up for the day and is so well presented and cooked to perfection. Croscombe is central for some lovely places to visit, Wells, Glastonbury, Shepton Mallet are only a few miles away. Terri can suggest where to eat in the evenings, you'd be wise to follow her recommendations. We will return.

Couldn’t really fault my stay. Made very welcome on arrival, room clean and stylish Modern bathroom, nice hot water and super fluffy towels. Nothing was too much trouble, owner Terri was really helpful with booking our dinner at the local pub ( just down the road and food excellent with good community atmosphere) Beautifully presented village; old buildings with great kerb appeal. The B and B was a beautiful period property but with modern twist. Breakfast excellent, no shortage of food and outstanding service. Owner Terri was exceptional. Would fully recommend a visit.
