A good establishment with generally friendly and efficient staff, but could do with an overall renovation/upgrade

I recently stayed at Crowne Plaza Golf Resort and had a generally positive experience with a few areas that could use improvement. The room I stayed in felt a bit dated, but that's somewhat understandable given this is one of the older hotels in the area- some interesting history showing that off in the main lobby. After the main lobby, which looks well-maintained, some of the exterior sections and buildings start to show their age. Inside the room, everything was clean, and the staff here did a good job. The bed and bedding were comfortable, which made for a solid night's sleep. That said, the in-wall AC unit could definitely be upgraded--it wasn't as cold as expected and was a bit noisy. The shower head also felt a little outdated and could use a refresh. On the positive side, the staff was friendly and welcoming throughout my stay, which always makes a difference. One small convenience I wish the lobby offered was access to smaller bills for breaking larger denominations--it would've been helpful. Overall, it's a decent stay with good service and clean rooms, but some updates to the facilities would really elevate the experience.

Seems like quite some renovation happened since I have been here a few years back. Rooms look really nice and the reception area is quite fancy. The front desk is super friendly and helped with a quick check in. Rooms are big and well cleaned.

I have been to this resort twice on business trips. It is a really nice hotel with many amenities. I really like the location in the downtown Chandler area which is close to so many cool restaurants and bars within walking distance. The staff here is very good and checks up on you to make sure all is going well and you have everything you need. I have recommended all my work colleagues to stay here as well when traveling to Chandler area.

Disappointing experience with bartender Zeus after years of returning to this resort We have been coming to this resort for approximately five years and have always enjoyed our visits. One of the things we have looked forward to during our stays has been stopping by for the chicken nuggets and ranch, which had become a small tradition for us. Unfortunately, this visit was very different because of our interaction with the bartender, Zeus. While trying to get his attention so we could place an order, we felt that our requests were ignored for more than 15 minutes. When we attempted to get his attention again, the interaction escalated, and his response came across as angry, unprofessional, and disrespectful. During the exchange, we felt that inappropriate and offensive comments were made toward us, which made the situation even more upsetting. Guests should be able to expect a welcoming and respectful experience when visiting an IHG property. We are disappointed that an interaction with one employee changed how we feel about returning to a resort we have supported for years. We will be contacting IHG Corporate to share our concerns and hope management reviews what happened. We hope future guests have a better experience, because this resort has been a place we previously enjoyed visiting.

I wanted to share our fantastic experience during our recent stay and specifically recognize the outstanding staff members who made all the difference for my traveling team. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by Shari at the front desk. Despite managing the check-in counter entirely on her own, she was incredibly eager to assist, providing swift, professional, and seamless service. She went completely out of her way to ensure our team was comfortable and had everything we needed for a perfect stay—all with a wonderfully positive and pleasant attitude. Additionally, I must highlight Dolce and Laura, who consistently go the extra mile to provide exceptionally warm and personalized service. Starting our mornings greeted by their friendly faces and their colleagues at breakfast is always a highlight of our trip. These individuals truly understand the art of hospitality and make guests feel genuinely welcome. This was another exceptional experience at the Crowne Plaza Chandler, and we look forward to returning!

When we arrived, we met up with a group and wasn't able to use the bar coupon, but friends did and they seemed pleased. The room was clean and cool; we loved that the room was cool as it was pretty warm outside. Breakfast was great and the server was pleasant and accommodating. Staff was pleasant.
