Holiday Inn Express & Suites AUSTIN DOWNTOWN - UNIVERSITY by IHG

It was a bit confusing finding the check in, as it was on Red River Road (the Indigo hotel entrance). I think this is temporary, and once you have checked in you can use the Holiday Inn entrance too. The staff were very friendly and we checked in quickly. The room was large and clean. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was good. The room also had a microwave and your can get a coffee maker from reception. Our room (524) had a good view over the city. Breakfast was good, with cereals, bread, waffles and hot food options. The hotel is walking distance to the Capitol building, which is well worth a visit. If you leave or arrive by flixbus, the hotel is just 2 mins walk away from the downtown stop.

The room was great! There can't be service if no one is at the counter. This place is so confusing. Indigo has one side and everyone has to check in there. No one is on the Holiday Inn Express side. Let's just say lots of walking and trying to figure out where to go good luck! The free breakfast was just ok. If they gave me a room credit I would stay here again, they at least owe that. Parking is a rip off, almost $50 per night!!

The hotel was in the best location downtown. I was able to easily find street parking next to the hotel with the city meter. I stayed Sunday and parking was free but the main entrance was locked due to construction I believe. My only “complaint” is having to access the room via another hotel, but it was manageable. I was able to walk to popular spots like 6th street in minutes and walked to the Moody Center for a concert. There were many places to visit nearby with many attractions nearby. Overall great hotel!

I would give my stay with this hotel 10/10. The location is central to everything. The hotel is super clean and well maintain. The amenities is self service and it makes you are at home. I will certainly come back if I will be in Austin again

Check in is very confusing, the lobby is very hot, I ordered chocolate covered strawberries a few days ahead of time and I had to cancel them because of how long they were taking (checked in at 3, left for the evening around 6), parking is not reasonable at all and I was charged twice. Room was clean and front desk staff was friendly.

Spacious room. Free breakfast in the morning. The hotel is not super new and the air-conditioning is very noisy but aside from that I had a good time since I could sleep comfortably with the AC off at night

Pretty large hotel. Breakfast being included is nice. Centrally located. Large pool. 24/7 fitness center. Great workers very friendly

We stayed a night at the hotel. The bedroom was spacious enough for 3 people. The facilities were a bit dated. The services at the dining hall was fine. The staff were efficient and friendly.
