Hotel ZaZa Austin

First time staying at ZaZa, but a long time resident at Gables Republic Square in its adjoined building. Everyday we would stop by the lobby with my Therapy Dog Muffins and visit the staff. As we are on our way out of Austin, Jacob convinced us to stay at ZaZa as I wrapped up my household good move. Originally, we were thinking Proper since Muffins is minor celebrity around Seaholm, Republic Square, and Downtown. However, Jacob beat them to the punch. Amenities and decor are awesome. Group Therapy food and drink have never failed me the past 4 years. ZaSpa is great for relaxing massage and treatment, but I don't recommend deep tissue, trigger, or release.

Well…what to make of this? The gym is an EXPERIENCE, for sure. Just that little guy in the center there, the attempt to cleverly brand the gym “The Barbell Club” (see door from photo, in reverse). Honestly, for me, those efforts were unnecessary and kind of silly. Gym is well-equipped with dumbbells, cables and cardio. There are some blocks and kettlebells for HIIT workouts. It is all well laid out so there is plenty of space. The equipment - benches, for example - were all top quality and in great condition. The gym is right next to the rooftop pool and restaurant/bar. All in all, really good setup. Would make for a great weekend stay. First floor is presently under some pretty heavy construction, so be aware.

First time in Austin, chose Hotel Zaza based on location as we wouldn’t have a car. We chose right! Everything was great! Staff is helpful. Rooms are beautiful (ours was a little dark, but no big deal) and BIG. Bathroom was lovely and the shower was super-powered! Bed was great. Pool was clean and cute. Restaurant ‘Group Therapy’ had yummy food and drinks and our server Jocelyn was a doll! Nice neighborhood, plenty to walk to, whole stay was great. COOKIES in the lobby every afternoon!!!! Totally recommend and would stay again.

So amazing! Alara was our waitress and ridiculously attentive and sweet. If yu want to impress someone or treat the family or friends, definitely request her!

First time at Hotel ZaZa! My stay started out well. I had a Concept Suite with two king beds, and the room itself was beautiful and spacious. However, the headboards on both beds were noticeably tattered and torn, which was disappointing and not aligned with the standard and status of the hotel. I hope there are plans to replace them soon, as the condition of the headboards detracted from an otherwise lovely room. I also had an unfortunate interaction at the rooftop pool with the gentleman checking guests in. His demeanor felt somewhat pretentious and unwelcoming, which was disappointing given the warm Southern hospitality I had hoped to experience. Despite these issues, I enjoyed the property and its distinctive character, and I hope my next visit reflects the level of hospitality and attention to detail that I know the hotel is capable of providing.

Our stay at this hotel was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the service was above and beyond anything we’ve experienced elsewhere. The staff surprised us with thoughtful gifts delivered straight to our room—two bottles of wine, delicious food, and plenty of water—all complimentary and completely unexpected. It set the tone for a truly memorable trip. We received outstanding service from Jacob, who quickly became the highlight of our stay. He was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and genuinely friendly. His restaurant recommendations were spot-on and absolutely fabulous. Every morning, he greeted us with a warm smile and took the time to ask how we were doing. His hospitality made us feel truly cared for. The valet team was just as impressive. They were quick, efficient, and extremely helpful, loading and unloading our bags with ease. Their professionalism and friendliness made every arrival and departure seamless. Every staff member we encountered was welcoming and eager to help, creating an atmosphere that felt both luxurious and personal. This was, without a doubt, the best hotel we’ve ever stayed at, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for exceptional service and unforgettable hospitality.

Hotel Zaza was the PERFECT girls trip destination. We were very pleased with our service, especially Vanessa! She was kind and enthusiastic and had great recommendations on what to do while we were in town!

My husband and I stayed here while in Austin on vacation for a couple of days. The hotel is beautiful, clean and comfortable, and the staff is exceptionally friendly. The complimentary morning coffee bar is well stocked. Vanessa at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. They even leave a nice little gift for you each evening. We definitely will stay here again!
